Challenge

OpenSource project from Anuaris Drupal developers.

The main task is acquainted with the core Drupal 8 and create a graphic theme using Twig markup language respecting Drupal coding standards.

Twig markup language will make Drupal 8 themes much more secure because PHP calls will no longer exist in theme files. This will also make theming easier to understand for non-programmers, front end developers and programmers coming from other languages and frameworks.

Anuaris team will start new Drupal.org project for this Drupal 8 theme.

Solution

Anuaris development team used CMS Drupal 8 and built backend and frontend parts for this project. Photoshop mockups were created and approved, all programming and customization was performed by our team. For this project we chose travel theme because this is one of the most popular category.

It was good experience with Drupal 8 theming. Twig looks super simple and flexible, this is a fast and powerful templating system, written for PHP-based applications. It’s already being used in a ton of apps, and we expect it to continue gaining in popularity for some time to come.
