"Gelios" - online food shop

Food manufacturer "Gelios" offers to buy natural food with increased biological value.

"Gelios" drinks are included in the diet of astronauts on the ISS, as they have excellent curative properties and have appropriate quality certificates.

Vitamin drinks are made only from natural ingredients, it is, as a rule, extracts from wild medicinal-plant raw material with the addition of natural juices of wild berries (blueberries, cranberries, raspberries and et al.), horticultural (fruit of apples, peaches, oranges, etc) and vegetables (roots of carrots, beets, etc.) cultures.

Extracts of drug-plant raw material - are the products of deep processing and contain more nutrients than juice, so the drinks on the basis of drug-plant raw materials are functional foods with a variety of therapeutic and prophylactic properties.

Easy to transport (lack of water significantly reduces the weight and volume of production, which significantly reduces material costs for shipping) and storage (occupy significantly less volume than packaged and bottled drinks and do not require any specific storage temperature).

Drinks are high stability of their constituent ingredients and a long shelf life, both at low and at high temperatures (due to the lack of water in their composition does not deteriorate - not fermented, do not freeze, etc.), which greatly facilitates, including and for public catering enterprises, the conditions of their storage.

This product can be used in cold, warm and hot, depending on the environmental conditions and the taste preferences of consumers.

Challenge

"Gelios" manufacturer contracted Anuaris to create a new light version of web shop for its company. They provided Web page designs approved by the local authorities employees, as well as the website’s functional requirements.

The requirements:

The web shop is supposed to sell services as products,
The web shop should show the customer a list of products and for each product a page with detailed info about this product,
There must be a “shopping cart” to which the customer is able to add products to,
The web shop must accept credit card payment,
The web shop must accept invoice payment,
The web shop must push the payment data to the billing system,
The complete purchase history of a customer must be saved,
The web shop should save the user’s favorite payment method and details.,
There should be a way to grant customers discounts on certain products if certain conditions are met,
The web shop must be fully capable of being integrated into a Drupal 7 website,
The web shop must be compatible with the use of https,
Before the purchase of a customer is processed, links to the privacy policy and terms of service must be displayed and the customer must accept both,
The web shop must be able to apply taxes to the products a customer likes to purchase. These taxes however must be calculated basing on several factors.

Solution

Anuaris development team used CMS Drupal 7 and built backend and frontend parts for this project. Photoshop mockups were created and approved, all programming and customization was performed by our team. One special task was to add custom dropdown field to checkout page so customers could choose one of three availible postal companies. To achieve this we made a special edition of Ubercart Webform Checkout Pane module to save edit and display this information correctly on checkout and order pages of the webshop.
